There are two types of Time records, 'Calculated' and 'Overridden'. These two types of records are signified in Edit T&A as either a ' C' (calculated) or an 'O' (overridden). See the diagram below:
Whenever there is a valid 'In' and 'Out' time, the record will automatically be flagged with a ' C'. If you edit an 'In' or 'Out' time, the record will automatically be re-calculated and the ' C' flag will remain.
If the calculated Time (time column) is edited, the ' C' flag will change to an 'O' to signify that the time has been overridden.
Once a record has been overridden, and you want to change it back to the original calculated time (taken from original the In/Out swipe), Double Click on the 'O' and the record will be recalculated and re-flagged with a 'C'.
Recalculating may be necessary when you have made a change in the Setup of a Shift, Department, Time Calc Rule etc (any Setup item). To recalculate an individual time record, Double Click on the 'C'.
When re-calculating an Overridden record, the following message box will appear:
Click YES to calculate the shift according to the In/Out times or NO to Cancel.
